Buying from Guangzhou: a desk-side orientation
A map of Guangzhou's sourcing districts and market clusters, plus how this site verifies listings and what our notes can and cannot support. Desk observations, not official statistics.
How the city breaks into sourcing districts
Treat Guangzhou as a cluster of districts rather than one city-wide market. Start with what you actually buy, then match it to the district that dominates that category.
Apparel sits mainly in Yuexiu and Tianhe: Baima, Liuhua, Shisanhang, Hongmian, U:US and Zhanxi in Yuexiu; Shahe in Tianhe. Fabrics and trims are concentrated in Haizhu, centered on Zhongda. Leather bags and luggage run through Baiyun (Sanyuanli) and Huadu (Shiling). Cosmetics and beauty supplies cluster in Baiyun (Sanyuanli cosmetics trade area) and Yuexiu (Meibocheng).
What each page on this site is good for
Market pages tell you what a cluster sells, how it operates and where it sits. Factory pages only reflect supplier claims that have been matched or compiled, with a verification boundary stated on the page itself.
Guides such as this one are for judgment calls (MOQ, consolidation, mistakes first-time buyers make). They cite experience-defined heuristics, not laws or official quotas.
What this orientation does not claim
We have not surveyed transport times door-to-door, customs advice for every route, or current price levels; those move too fast to keep accurate on a static page.
If a claim matters to a purchase decision, follow the sourcing chain named on the factory or market page rather than relying on this orientation.
No factory, price or lead-time claims are made here; those require supplier-level verification on the factory and market pages.
