How to plan one sourcing day at Baima Clothing Market
Baima sits beside Guangzhou Railway Station and rewards an early start. This guide sets out a one-day plan that leaves room for nearby markets without rushing.
Guangzhou markets: Baima Clothing Market
Start early
Baima is at No. 16 Zhanan Road, Yuexiu District, next to Guangzhou Railway Station (metro lines 2 and 5, exit G). Trading runs roughly 08:30-18:30.
Arrive close to opening. By mid-afternoon many stalls are packing and the stronger stock is already allocated.
Spend the morning inside
Walk two or three floors properly rather than sweeping the whole building. Baima is large enough that a shallow pass of many floors yields less than a focused pass of a few.
Start with the category you came for and finish the morning in an adjacent category you did not plan. That is where substitutes and cheaper versions sit.
Lunch and consolidation
Take a quick lunch near the station, and give a driver or forwarder your morning samples at the same time.
Sort and label samples by stall name while you eat, so the record stays attached to the goods.
Move to nearby markets
In the afternoon walk to Liuhua, Zhanxi or Shisanhang while you are already on foot. These sit in the same station area and are easy to pair.
Keep the late slot for a second pass at your shortlisted Baima stalls, not for new markets.
End with one consignment
Finish the day at one consolidation point rather than carrying samples back to your hotel.
For multi-market trips we recommend a single consolidated pickup, so one invoice and one set of packing marks travel with the goods.
Trading hours and stall layouts change; confirm with the market or your supplier before you travel.
