Pre-registration in numbers
The 140th Canton Fair was set to run in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, 2026, with more than 220,000 overseas buyers from 197 countries and regions pre-registered by late September and professional buyers making up nearly 80 percent.
More than 32,000 enterprises were due to exhibit, over 11,000 of them recognized as specialized, refined, differential and innovative firms or industry champions: a snapshot, organizers said, of the continuing upgrade of Chinese manufacturing. Sixty-four percent of exhibitors now apply industrial internet and artificial intelligence technologies, and new and green products account for 23.2 percent and 26 percent of exhibits respectively, both historical highs.
AI across the sourcing journey
Artificial intelligence ran through the sourcing journey itself. The fair embedded AI and big data across event operations, deploying 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI-specific features for the first time. It became the first exhibition in China to realize booth-level navigation and AR information display, with full-scene, meter-level navigation covering more than 75,000 booths across all halls.
Full-chain trade services
Trade services were extended into a full chain. For the first time, ten categories of producer services, from logistics and warehousing through design and research to overseas integrated services and cross-border investment and financing, achieved full coverage, giving products, brands and companies a one-stop path into international markets.
More than 700 new-collection debut events were scheduled, a 15 percent increase, and a New Collection Gallery was created for the first time to match suppliers with buyers. Seven forums were planned around four themes: expanding markets, mitigating risks, researching trends and fostering innovation.
